Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Space Copilot website and AI Home Health Score service (the “Service”) operated by Space Copilot Inc. (“Space Copilot,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, uploading content, or paying for a plan, you accept these Terms.

1. The Service

Space Copilot generates an automated AI Home Health Score from floor plans, photos, and other content you upload. The Service analyzes layout, lighting, ventilation, noise, storage, and safety factors and returns a 0–100 score, room-level callouts, and plain-English recommendations.

2. Not professional advice

Space Copilot is a decision-support tool, not a professional service. The reports we generate:

• Are not a substitute for a licensed home inspector, structural engineer, architect, or real-estate professional.
• Are not legal, medical, financial, or insurance advice.
• May contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies typical of AI systems.

You are responsible for verifying any finding with qualified professionals before making a purchase, lease, or renovation decision. Space Copilot disclaims liability for decisions made solely in reliance on a report.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One person per account. Business / team use is covered by the Family plan.
• We can suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don’t have the right to share.
• Upload content that infringes someone else’s privacy (e.g. another person’s home or a visibly identifiable third party) without their consent.
• Reverse-engineer the Service, scrape it, or use it to build a competing product.
• Use the Service for illegal purposes or in violation of any applicable law.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or discriminate against any individual or group.

5. Your content, your rights

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant Space Copilot a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process your uploads solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (and, in aggregated / de-identified form, to improve our models — see the Privacy Policy for opt-out).

6. Pricing, billing, and renewals

• Current pricing is published on the Pricing page.
• Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
• You can cancel any time from your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
• We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days’ notice by email.
• Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never store full card numbers.
• Applicable taxes (VAT / GST / sales tax) are added at checkout where required.

7. Refunds

14-day money-back guarantee. If you upgrade to a paid plan and aren’t happy, email support@space-copilot.com within 14 days of the charge and we’ll refund the most recent payment, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.

8. Free tier

The Free tier is provided without charge and with no service-level guarantee. We may change limits, pause, or remove the Free tier at any time. Paid users will be given at least 30 days’ notice of any material reduction in service.

9. Intellectual property

Space Copilot, the logo, the software, the model, and the website are our intellectual property or that of our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any report will be accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Space Copilot’s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations — in those jurisdictions the limitation applies to the maximum extent permitted.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or fail to pay. On termination, sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive.

13. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert jurisdiction before launch], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Rules. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing support@space-copilot.com. You and Space Copilot waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in any class action. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property claims.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or banner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
